Koh Samet

Main island of the Ko Samet group 1.5 hours drive south of Pattaya City off the coast of Rayong.

A very popular and cheaper destination for tourists and locals this island has a lot of night life with bars, restaurants with tables right on the beach.

Crystal clear waters around the island reefs is ideal for snorkelling. There is also plenty of water sports and nice beaches.

The main town is on the northern end of the island. The southern end of the island has cheaper but still nice accommodation with plenty of night life also. You may need to disembark into the water as there are no jetties at some locations.

Getting there is best if you purchase a mini-van/ferry/accommodation package from Pattaya or Bangkok.
