Koh Chang

This is the main island of the Ko Chang group and one of the largest in Thailand.

Ko Chang derives its name from the elephant shaped headland that takes on the appearance of an elephant.

A very mountainous island it has several well known waterfalls. Other attractions are its coral reefs, beaches and rain forests. Activities on the island are scuba diving, jungle trekking, swimming.

There are several resorts and some cheaper accommodation. Also many restaurants bars. Getting to Ko Chang is by ferry from the mainland.

During peak tourist season you can get to other local islands from Ko Chang.
